Australian Trade Delegation to Vietnam Water Week 2023

AWA is leading an Australian trade delegation to Vietnam to provide an opportunity for our members to connect their product and services with the Vietnamese water market and facilitate access to Australian Government assistance for our members.

Vietnam has one of the fastest growing economies and is actively opening its doors to foreign trade and investment. The location of the 2023 Vietnam Water Week event – Binh Duong province – has been strategically selected for the event, featuring 30 industrial zones and is in the centre of the Southern Key Economic Zone, North of Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnam Water Week, hosted by the the Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association (VWSA) will welcome over 10,000 visitors and 1,000 conference delegates from across the Vietnam water sector. AWA will host the Australian Pavilion, providing organisations with the opportunity to showcase their water capabilities and innovations on the exhibition floor.

AWA has led some of the largest trade delegations to ever visit Vietnam over the past 10 years, with over 450 Australian delegates representing the private sector, government, R&D and water utilities, and over 65 companies exhibiting their innovative technologies. AWA’s award-winning ‘Australian Pavilion’ will feature at Vietnam Water Week in 2023, with support from Austrade, the Australian Consulate and state trade and investment agencies.

This year marks the 50-year anniversary of diplomatic relations between Australia and Vietnam, and the Australian Government has been unlocking opportunities for Australian businesses to capitalise on Vietnam’s $400 billion economy. Both Prime Ministers met in June 2023 to discuss ways to grow trade and investment, building on the impressive expansion of two-way trade which rose by almost 40 per cent last financial year and working to elevate the relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
