From February to October the WA Branch Committee will host monthly informal networking events in the form of after-work Sundowner drinks. Each month we'll have an interesting topic for discussion and the opportunity to meet and catch up with other AWA members and non-members. Events are free, with a bar available at the venue to purchase your own drinks. Food is also available to purchase. We look forward to seeing you for a casual gathering of like-minded water sector professionals!

Guest Speaker
Jake Faranda from Syrinx Environmental will be talking about a new approach to address urban lake issues globally with a focus on the Neil McDougall Park Lake Remediation project, at our September sundowner.

Jake is a civil and environmental engineer with some eight years’ experience working around water.  He is passionate about mainstreaming blue-green infrastructure – a core business unit at Syrinx in which he is involved.  Come along to hear about the innovative urban lake remediation project at Neil McDougall Park, Como WA, which is a collaborative endeavour between Syrinx and the City of South Perth.  A multi-disciplinary, inclusive approach led to the technically complex nature-based solution being delivered in-tact.
