From January to October the WA Branch Committee will host monthly informal networking events in the form of after-work Sundowner drinks. Each month we'll have an interesting topic for discussion and the opportunity to meet and catch up with other AWA members and non-members. Events are free, with a bar available at the venue to purchase your own drinks. Food is also available to purchase. We look forward to seeing you at Besk for a casual gathering of like-minded water sector professionals!

Our sundowners are for both members and non-members and you are welcome to bring a friend. Pre-registration is not required, you can simply turn up! Please ensure you sign-in via the WASafe App at the venue and complete our Attendance Register available on arrival.

Join us at the last AWA Sundowner of 2021 to hear from Jerome Wade, one of Water Corporation’s Emerging Indigenous Water Leader scholarship recipients.  Over the last 15 years, Jerome’s career journey has taken him across Western Australia - from his families’ Yawuru country in the Kimberley to the Goldfields and now to the South West,  where he is Team leader - Drainage for the South West Region.  Jerome will be sharing his experiences with wastewater recycling, as well as his perspective on the challenges of water management and the potential of collaborative research.

COVIDSafe Guidelines
The Australian Water Association has closely followed Government recommendations to develop COVIDSafe Guidelines for AWA events going forward. These guidelines will be in place at this event and have been developed to ensure attendee health and safety. Your support is also essential to keep this event COVIDSafe. We ask that delegates observe good hygiene and physical distancing at the event, where possible. If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the event.
