From February to October the WA Branch Committee will host monthly informal networking events in the form of after-work Sundowner drinks. Each month we'll have an interesting topic for discussion and the opportunity to meet and catch up with other AWA members and non-members.

Guest Speaker
Our March host and guest speaker is Eelko Van Der Vaart, Managing Director and Principal Consultant at OneStone Consulting. Over the last 17 years, Eelko has developed a specialism for the design and modelling of pump station control systems. He undertook the control system modelling for Nicholson Rd Pump Station for the integration of the Perth Seawater Desalination Plant back in 2006 (an award-winning project) and has since been involved in the modelling and design of all the Water Corporation’s new major pump stations.
With a growing trend towards automation in our industry, and having developed OneStone’s real-time simulation technology, FluidSpace™, Eelko will be leading a discussion around “Are we ready for autonomous water systems?”
Would your organisation like to host a 2023 Sundowner?
In 2023 we're offering our Corporate Members the opportunity to host a sundowner at your office/premises. As a host you will have the opportunity for a 5 minute business pitch and the opportunity to provide a speaker or the AWA will source a guest speaker and in return, all we ask is that you provide us with a space for around 30-40 people with some drinks and nibbles. COVIDSafe Guidelines
The Australian Water Association has closely followed Government recommendations to develop COVIDSafe Guidelines for AWA events going forward. These guidelines will be in place at this event and have been developed to ensure attendee health and safety. Your support is also essential to keep this event COVIDSafe. We ask that delegates observe good hygiene and physical distancing at the event, where possible. If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the event.
Our sundowners are free for both members and non-members and you are welcome to bring a friend.
