Guest Speaker

Eva Jalón González, Global CEO, Sacyr Agua

Eva was named Sacyr Agua’s Global CEO in 2020 after more than 22 two years working in the civil infrastructure sector, firstly in construction and then in PPPs. Eva has a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering and has been with Sacyr for the last 16 years, based from their Spanish headquarters, where she has held different positions in all types of PPP management including toll roads, hospitals, airports or public transport hubs. Now, she is focused on leading Sacyr Agua to become the benchmark in sustainability, applied technology, innovation and project finance.

Eva will be discussing her perspective on water sector challenges we are facing, from ensuring access to safe drinking water and sanitation for everyone and to developing sustainable water for agriculture to meet the growing demand of food. Added to these objectives are the technical challenges posed by emerging pollutants, carbon footprint reduction and renewable energies. With all these needs and the effects of climate change, the non-conventional water sources like desalination and reuse will take an even more leading role.

Would your organisation like to host a 2023 Sundowner?
In 2023 we're offering our Corporate Members the opportunity to host a sundowner at your office/premises. As a host you will have the opportunity for a 5 minute business pitch and the opportunity to provide a speaker or the AWA will source a guest speaker and in return, all we ask is that you provide us with a space for around 35-45 people with some drinks and nibbles. Express your hosting interest here
