VIC YWP Regional Study Tour 2026 - Save the Date!

The 2026 YWP Regional Tour will travel through the Yarra Valley and surrounding regions to explore the evolving challenges and opportunities across drinking water, wastewater, and catchment systems. From First Nations water stewardship and cultural connections through to treatment, trade waste, and large-scale supply infrastructure, this tour provides a holistic view of how water systems support growing regional communities.

Join us for this exciting two-day tour, where you will:

Gain first hand insights into regional water operations across the full water cycle
Learn from industry experts and operators across multiple organisations
Build an understanding of cultural, environmental, and technical perspectives in water management
Connect and network with fellow Young Water Professionals

Accommodation will be at the RACV Healesville Country Club & Resort. The resort offers a wide range of recreational facilities, including: Fitness centre, Bocce court, Sauna, Steam room, 25m indoor swimming pool, Spa, tennis courts, Croquet lawn Lawn bowls, Games room, Billiards room and Mountain bikes.

Day 1 - Thursday 10 September

7.00am	Depart Southern Cross Railway station bus terminal
9.30am	Tour opening - Welcome to Country and immersive experience on Country - Coranderrk
11.45am	Healesville sewage treatment plant tour
1.00pm	Picnic lunch
3.30pm	Four Pillars Gin Distillery - presentation and gin tasting
4.45pm	Check into accommodation at Healesville Country Club and Resort
6.30pm	Group dinner at the resort

Day 2 - Friday 11 September

7.30am	Buffet breakfast at the resort
9.45am	Goulburn Valley Water bushfire response, reflection and recovery session - GV Water treatment facility & Alexandra Lookout
11.15am	Eildon spillway site visit - Goulburn Murray Water and Rubicon
11.45am	Lunch at Goulburn Murray Water Offices - presentations by Rubicon and Goulburn Murray Water
2.30pm	Yan Yean treatment plant site visit - Melbourne Water
5.30pm	Arrive at Southern Cross Railway Station bus terminal
