The afternoon will commence with a presentation by Bronwyn Scallan from Perth NRM, followed by a walking tour lead by Dam Engineer Maggie Gilligan from City of Launceston. We will visit various sites along the kanamaluka/Tamar Estuary Launceston. The tour will conclude with snacks, a drink and an opportunity to chat to some of the presenters, your peers and members of the AWA committee at The Sports Garden.

Bronwyn Scallan Perth NRM - Bronwyn's presentation will focus on the cost of soil loss from construction sites and the cost/benefit of compliance. Following this presentation there will be time to discuss this topic and others with members of the Tamar Estuary and Esk Rivers (TEER) program.

Maggie Gilligan City of Launceston kanamaluka/Tamar Estuary - various locations join us for a fantastic opportunity to learn about the kanamaluka/Tamar Estuary and works being undertaken to improve its health and the security of surrounding areas; combining engineering, scientific and governing practices. A wide range of present and future careers are based around working with our natural environment – come along and hear from potential future employers and meet your potential future peers.
