Join us at the 2026 Tasmanian Where the Waters Meet Conference and Exhibition, Everyone’s Water. Everyone’s Responsibility.

Water connects every part of Tasmania — across our regions, into our towns, and is critical for our communities, industries, environment and future. As pressures on water systems grow, so too does the need for shared responsibility across every sector.

Where the Waters Meet 2026 brings professionals, decision-makers and communities together to explore how we collectively manage, protect and value water. From source to sea, every action has an impact and every stakeholder has a role to play.

This year’s theme “Everyone’s Water. Everyone’s Responsibility” recognises that sustainable water outcomes depend on collaboration, accountability and innovation. It challenges us to move beyond industry silos, connect across the water cycle and take ownership of the decisions that shape Tasmania’s water future.

By sharing knowledge, showcasing solutions and strengthening partnerships, we aim to support water professionals in ensuring that our water remains a shared resource for generations to come.

Breakfast

Celebrating the theme of "Everyone's Water. Everyone's Responsibility", we are opening the Where The Waters Meet 2026 conference with a breakfast panel that explores how we interconnect throughout the water lifecycle.

Doing things better in the water industry means broadening who is part of the conversation and sharing knowledge and responsibility. Let’s focus on how we do things now and what’s occurring across Tasmania’s water sector, and explore how we can do things better.

Connecting perspectives allows us to manage water better, with a shared understanding. As we build trust, we can improve resilience and encourage a broader shared ownership of Tasmania's water future.

YWP Learning and Networking Event

Join the Tasmanian Young Water Professionals as we come together to reflect, connect, and celebrate the real contributions YWPs are making across the water industry. This mini‑conference is designed as a practical, peer‑led space, where emerging professionals can exchange ideas, share lived experience, and learn from one another in a by YWPs, for YWPs format.

The 2026 Conference theme Everyone’s Water. Everyone’s Responsibility. focuses on how Young Water Professionals are stepping into responsibility: working on major projects, tackling complex challenges, and actively shaping their own career pathways. Through case studies, discussions, and shared insights, the conference will explore how we can problem‑solve more effectively, lead with purpose, and take ownership of our role in delivering a healthy, resilient, and well‑managed water future for Tasmania – now and into the next generation.
