TAS Urban Flooding Breakfast and Urban Water Symposium 2022

Join us as we delve into all things Urban Water at the Industry Breakfast and Symposium in July. Two events, one day, an opportunity not to be missed!

Breakfast Session 
At the breakfast session join your colleagues in an interactive panel discussion, where you will gain a better understanding of the current issues and challenges facing storm water management. You'll explore the implications of the new state-wide planning scheme and a changing climate on the way urban storm water is managed, how we expect it to change, and what our community needs to know.

This event is proudly organised AWA Tasmanian Branch Committee in partnership with the Institute of Public Works and Engineering Tasmania (IPWEA).

Symposium & Lunch
Following the AWA and IPWEA Urban Flooding breakfast the Derwent Estuary Program is pleased to be hosting the Urban Water Symposium. The workshop will focus on the benefits of stormwater management and lessons from NSW and QLD regarding WSUD installation and maintenance. 

Hosted by Anna Wilson from DEP it will be a valuable session for stormwater industry professionals, Council managers, planners, infrastructure and stormwater practitioners. Combined with the AWA breakfast this will be the most significant stormwater event on the Tasmanian calendar.

We are fortunate to have national experts in their fields presenting their knowledge in this space, the workshop presents a range of urban water professionals as speakers with extended panel sessions for Q&A and discussion.
