The Young Water Professionals of the AWA's SA Branch are excited to invite you to the second of the  2022 SA Sundowner Series, returning to The King’s Head, for after-work drinks, interesting guest speakers and informal networking and discussion held on the Thursday 21st April 2022 from 5:15pm to 6:30pm.

The SA AWA YWP aims to empower emerging leaders to build water industry networks, grow their knowledge and sharpen their leadership skills in both formal and informal settings.  Join us for regular after-work Sundowner drinks and informal networking hosted every other month by the AWA SA Young Water Professionals. Special guest speakers will be feature throughout the series to explore a wide range of topics through a short presentation and discussion. These events are open to anyone with an interest in the water industry and present an opportunity to meet and catch up with other professionals.

This is a free event where you can grab your drink(s) of choice, however please register your attendance.

Guest Speaker: Boris Ninkovic, General Manager Fulton Hogan Utilities SA/VIC/TAS

Topic – Water & Construction

The Construction industry is heavily embedded in the water industry, with new and old infrastructure continually being installed or upgraded to suit the ever expanding water supply requirements around the country. Come along to hear about the construction industries involvement in the fresh and wastewater areas, the management of these projects and involvement of stakeholders to deliver good work in the water construction field.

Bio

Boris is a passionate water professional having dedicated his engineering and management career to the construction and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure over the past 15 years. He has a strong understanding of how to plan, design, monitor, deliver and lead teams to create sustainable, integrated water infrastructure. Boris drives teams to develop solutions that provide multiple long-term benefits for communities and positively promote the water sector.

As General Manager, Boris oversees all operational activities occurring across three states within the Fulton Hogan Utilities Business. This also involves working collaboratively with several major Australian utilities providers to lead delivery of their major long term programs of work. Boris is proud to be leading a team that works together with the water sector in this partnered approach and believes that having all stakeholders focused to achieve the same goals drives mutual successes for client, community, our business and our industry.
