SA Sundowner April 2024 - Meet Your YWP Committee

The Young Water Professionals of the SA AWA Branch are excited to invite you to their second 2024 SA Sundowner event, returning to Electra House, to Meet the YWP Committee over an informal knowledge sharing discussion, and Networking over after-work drinks on Thursday 18^th April 2024 from 5:15pm to 6:30pm.

Want to know more about the SA YWP Committee? The SA AWA YWP Committee aims to empower emerging leaders to build water industry networks, grow their knowledge and sharpen their leadership skills in both formal and informal settings. Hosted by SA YWP Committee Vice Chair Jessica Bohorquez, learn about the initiatives that the YWP committee is currently working on, the benefits of being an AWA member and listen directly from some of the committee members on their experiences within the industry so far. This Sundowner provides an opportunity for informal discussions about developing professional soft skills, strategies to expand your network and methods to advance your career in the water industry! Make sure to come prepared with an open mind, willingness to engage with others and an eagerness to ask any questions you may have about advancing your career.

Keen on expanding your network by meeting other water professionals within South Australia? Join us for regular after-work drinks and informal networking with like-minded AWA SA Young Water Professionals. Sundowner events provide a platform for professionals to connect, exchange ideas, and establish valuable contacts within the water industry. You can meet people from various sectors, including government, academia, consulting firms, utilities, and NGOs. This networking can lead to mentorship opportunities, career advancement, and collaboration on projects or initiatives within the industry. Bring along a colleague who has yet to attend an AWA YWP Committee run event before and you are bound to make a few new LinkedIn connections!

Sundowner events are open to anyone with an interest in the water industry, and present an opportunity to meet with other professionals, regardless of experience levels.
