QLD YWP Amazing Race 2022

Get your running shoes on, costumes ready and thinking caps on for Queensland's YWP Amazing Race! Now in it's ninth year, and proudly sponsored by Stantec, the 2022 race will focus on the theme of 'Water ForCE' (for Circular Economy).

Starting at Musgrave Park in South Bank, teams will receive a map and instructions to make their way around the city, solving clues and overcoming challenges to collect points. The team with the most points in the allocated time will be crowned the winner and celebrated at the final networking location at Southbank.

Teams
Teams can range from 3 to 5 people. You are welcome to arrange your own teams but we also welcome participation from those who don't yet have a team, and the YWP subcommittee will arrange a team prior to the race. Registration and payment needs to be made as an individual via the link below before Friday 30 September. For those that know their team, please email Cassandra.mai@wsp.com with the full names of your team members and team name (get creative)! 

Prizes
The team that accumulates the highest number of points at the end of the race will be awarded a prize and added to the perpetual trophy. There will also be a prize for the best dressed team in line with the Circular Economy theme.

COVIDSafe Guidelines

The Australian Water Association has closely followed Government recommendations to develop COVIDSafe Guidelines for AWA events going forward. These guidelines will be in place at this event and have been developed to ensure attendee health and safety. Your support is also essential to keep this event COVIDSafe. We ask that delegates observe good hygiene and physical distancing at the event, where possible. If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the event. Please email events@awa.asn.au at least 24 hours prior to the event if you are unable to attend due to illness. Under these circumstances a transfer of your registration to a colleague will be accepted at no cost. If Government restrictions impact your ability to attend, or AWA's ability to hold the event, an AWA team member will be in touch to discuss your registration.
