Data everywhere and not a drop to drink: Utilising climate in the data age

Join the NSW Newcastle subcommittee as we explore the use of data in a world with a changing climate.  This event will have 3 panel speakers and will be followed by a Q&A session.

Speaker 1: Dr. Anthony Kiem (University of Newcastle)

Anthony will open to provide context of climate science data and it’s acceptance and integration into water resources management.

Speaker 2: Robert Scott (MidCoast Council)

Rob will then follow highlighting the impacts of drought from a utility perspective and presenting on their adaptive management during the last drought.

Speaker 3: Cameron Smith (Cleah, Beca HunterH2O)

Cameron will then present on assessing town water security in regional NSW and the challenges associated with moving from a prescriptive approach to a risk-based approach highlighting work done with Tamworth Regional Council.

Following the panel session there will be time for networking and drinks.
