The "Water Consequences" of Net Zero  Policies

How do we manage and balance the water demand of Net Zero Policies with drinking and general water demand in the ACT? 

In small teams, you will have the opportunity to workshop various technologies to determine  how do we ensure there is enough for both.  At this Hack we will look at:

• • Hydroelectric 
  • Green hydrogen
  • Solar, wind and batteries
  • Nuclear
  • Biomass (methane gas, biosolid energy production, etc.)
  • Also look at – energy intensity for producing purified recycled water

Come and join a team and help solve some of the most pressing issues within the ACT.   Be part of the possible solution and brainstorm innovative ideas that could help solve potential challenges.

Some of the areas being covered will include:

• Water dependency of Commonwealth and ACT emission reduction plans
• Whether, and how well, water dependency is considered
• Identify consequences on the environment and other users if this water is allocated for zero emission schemes
• Solutions for how these can be handled.
