Water superstars celebrated at the Legends of Water NSW Dinner

The NSW Branch once again celebrated the Legends of Water for 2023 recognising the achievements of water industry leaders who have not only been committed to creating a more sustainable water future but have dedicated their careers to promoting the importance of water in their respective fields.

This annual event brought together attendees from across the water sector last Wednesday 6 December at 12 Micron in Sydney's Barangaroo.

A Welcome to Country jump-started the nights celebrations with Maree Abood (Executive Director, Adaptation & Mitigation at the NSW Reconstruction Authority) and Grant Leslie (Director – Australia, Balmoral Group) entertaining the audience with stories on their career highlights and successes.

Unfortunately, Doug Moorby (Chairman and Utilities Manager, Narromine Shire Council at Orana Water Utilities Alliance) was unable to attend and will be celebrated for next year's Legends of Water event.

NSW Branch President Nanda Altavilla was in attendance alongside Annalise Contos who marvelled audiences as the host and MC of the event. AWA CEO Corinne Cheeseman also attended presenting the Legends with their awards.

Thank you to our attendees, Legends, hosts and staff for another successful year celebrating our Legends!
