Supporting the Water Sector to meet Future Challenges and Opportunities

KPMG is the proud Networking Sponsor of the Queensland Water Awards. Jim Grayson, Director - Infrastructure, Assets & Places, shares his thoughts on the focus for the sector and challenges going forward.

KPMG has been delighted to support the AWA Queensland Branch with the hosting of its annual Gala Awards night for the last two years. KPMG has been fortunate to support clients across a range of sectors in the delivery of their major investments. The water sector represents a key focus for the firm looking forward.

The water sector is exciting as well as being values-driven and purpose-led. There is an incredible diversity in the breadth of skills and experience of its participants, and also a unifying focus on value, community service and sustainability. These values resonate with our values at KPMG.

The future looks set to be challenging. Strong population growth accompanied by greater climatic extremes in an environment of steeply rising costs are but some of the examples. Providing the right infrastructure solutions to support the provision of essential services for the community will be critical, not just for the present but for future generations. KPMG looks forward to continuing to support its clients in the water sector in meeting these challenges and opportunities.
