Exploring the SDGs relevance to Australia at the SA State Conference

What a wonderful success the 2023 Conference was beating last year’s attendance and having a wonderful array of speakers.

The State Conference explored the SDGs relevance to Australia across a range of lenses, providing an opportunity for the water sector to engage with related industries on how the goals relate to the current national and state context and debate their basis for our shared future.

SA State Conference

Over 135 attendees had speakers across 6 different streams plus opening and closing plenary sessions including:

Stream 1 - Using data, AI, IOT and Machine Learning to unlock the value of water for society and industry
Stream 2 - Access for All - Improving drinking water services and water outcomes to remote and indigenous communities in Australia
Stream 3 - Where will the water come from? Opportunities to continue to diversify water sources in Australia and the Asia-Pacific
Stream 4 - The Water Industry's role in the transition to renewable energy and decarbonisation
Stream 5 - Pulling together in a crisis - The water sectors role in responding to climate emergencies and risks
Stream 6 - Innovation in the water industry to enable sustainable development
Closing Plenary - Future water opportunities for South Australia
