Introducing the 2021-23 IWAA Committee

The Australian Water Association (AWA) is the Governing Member for Australia for the International Water Association (IWA), referred to as IWA Australia or IWAA.

The IWAA Committee assists the AWA in fulfilling its responsibilities as a Governing Member of IWA but importantly collaborates ongoingly with the broader IWA to deliver initiatives that provide Australian IWA & AWA members with membership value and a ‘finger on the pulse’ on water matters at a global scale.

Every two years a new committee is elected and with the 2021 election now complete, votes counted & validated we are ready to announce the new committee! We are most fortunate to welcome back a number of experienced IWAA committee members whilst also welcoming new committee members to continue to build on achievements over the years.

The committee members are supported by Corrinne Cheeseman, CEO AWA, and Adam Lovell, CEO WSAA, as the IWAA governing member representatives, as well as Kirsty Blades who is the AWA representative on this committee.

We thank all of this year’s nominees for putting their hand up to represent all Australian AWA/IWA members.

Should you like to find out more about IWAA or have any suggestions or feedback you would like to share with the newly elected committee; please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts directly with Digna Nichols, the AWA coordinator of the IWAA committee or Kirsty Blades, AWA Representative on IWAA committee.
