WA In-Land Waters Symposium - Call for Abstracts

WA In-Land Waters Symposium - Call for Abstracts
The AWA, ECA and EIANZ are proud to present, in partnership, the 2020 Joint Symposium on In-Land Waters in Western Australia. A call for Abstracts is now open with submissions closing on Thursday 9 April 2020. Inland waters are water bodies inland from the coastal zone and areas whose properties and use are dominated by the permanent, seasonal, or intermittent occurrence of flooded conditions. Inland waters include groundwater (superficial and confined aquifers), and surface water such as rivers, lakes, floodplains, reservoirs, wetlands, inland saline systems and parts of waterways that have been artificially modified.

A two (2) day symposium is tentatively planned for late July 2020 in Perth however we are monitoring the COVID-19 situation and the date of the Symposium will determined as soon as practicable. In the meantime, we invite submissions of abstracts* for presentation from all practitioners and organisations with experience in inland waters including technical, social, policy and planning. Inland waters have relevance to many industries and communities and we hope to receive abstracts over the entire spectrum of areas and stimulate conversation across all aspects of the topic.

Abstracts will be peer reviewed to determine presentations for the event program.  It should be noted that all presentations will be made publicly available to attendees following the event.

An abstract template is available using this link - here
* Abstracts only to be submitted, full papers are not required.

Submissions close 5pm WST Thursday 9th April 2020. For any queries and to submit your abstract please contact wa@eianz.org.

This event is being organised, in partnership, by the Australian Water Association, Environmental Consultants Association and Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand Inc.
