Ozwater’23: Making the most of Day Three

As Ozwater’23 delegates prepare for tonight’s Gala Dinner and Australian Water Awards, the final day of the conference is just around the corner.

Here are some of the Day Three program highlights to plan for, including keynote presentations, climate challenges forums and presentations across a variety of curated streams.

Keynote speakers

So far, Ozwater’23 attendees have heard from a host of incredible plenary speakers, including Climate Salad Co-founder Mark Liubinskas and Partners for Purpose Sustainability Leader Olivia Tyler, as well as Cultural Intelligence Project Founder Cara Peek

For the last day of Ozwater’23, delegates are invited to enjoy closing keynote presentations exploring mental health, diversity and inclusion.

An award-winning author, clinical psychologist and leadership coach, Mind Strength Founder Dr Jodie Lowinger is set to discuss her own brand of mental health thought leadership, and why healthy minds are important.

Through her presentation Mindset Shifts, Social Living Solutions CEO and Founder Patricia Falcetta will help guide delegates to a deeper understanding of unconscious bias and how it influences all aspects of our lives. Falcetta will also touch on intersectionality and how this comes into play in a diverse workforce.

Climate Challenges stream

Following the final keynote presentations, delegates once again have a program packed full of curated presentations to choose from, including a new stream encouraging in-depth thought and discussion around the climate challenges facing the water community.

Featuring insights from a panel of key international climate change and development experts, the Global Perspectives Forum is set to explore many of the common challenges faced by water businesses around the world.

Delegates are encouraged to come along and participate in discussions around water security, extreme events, impacts to communities and water resource managers, and how to build resilience.

Exhibition Hall

Given the array of streams and presentations on offer, it can be easy to forget all the action on offer in the Ozwater’23 Exhibition Hall. But Day Three is the perfect time to wander the variety of stalls showcasing leading water business offerings.

With hundreds of companies and innovations to encounter, the Exhibition Hall gives delegates the opportunity to make new connections and learn about industry developments.

Haven’t caught one of the Exhibition Theatrette presentations yet? Why not join the Neurodiversity Panel, set to explore how to implement strategies to become a mentally safe and supportive workplace.

Networking Drinks

Ozwater’23 has introduced many new themes and sessions this year, but one thing that remains the same is the many opportunities for water professionals to catch up with colleagues from around Australia and the world.

To round out Day Three and Ozwater’23, delegates are invited to gather for one last time at the Closing Networking Drinks on Friday afternoon.

With loads of new ideas and learnings to discuss with colleagues, the Closing Networking Drinks gives water professionals the chance to catch up, debrief and farewell Ozwater’23.

We look forward to seeing you on Day Three of Ozwater’23
