VIC Tech Event for University Students | LESSONS LEARNT
Join us for an insightful evening where you can hear from experienced engineers who have had to adjust project steps to avoid major hiccups!
Purpose of the event
Not every project goes according to plan. And that is OK, as long as you fix it and learn from it. Come along and learn about project issues, how they were fixed, and what we would have been done if we had our time again.

Recently retired Civil Engineer with over 40 years of experience in the Victorian Water Industry.Paul has worked for Melbourne Water, City West Water and Western Water.
Paul will be sharing some very interesting experiences during his career where valuable lessons not to be forgotten, were learnt.

Claire will talk about how team performance can be impacted when things go wrong on projects and the importance of managing and motivating your greatest asset (people) to turn things around.

Mel will be sharing some experiences of what can go wrong in the planning phase of a project and when you should get the lawyers involved.
Director, CMP Consulting Group. Greg will present on a Contractor who decided to reduce project costs by using thinned walled stainless steel piping on a pump suction, and how a simple 2 minute calculation could have predicted the outcome.
