South Australian Water Policy Dialogue - White Paper

On 28 April 2016 the Australian Water Association South Australian Branch and the Water Industry Alliance recently held the first South Australian Water Policy Dialogue event, with a new conference format. The Dialogue encouraged discussion and outcomes from the delegates who could be fully interactive with key industry leaders and policy influencers. Three streams were held - research, industry and governance - and all generated lively discussion and good outcomes that were the content for the white paper.

SA Mentoring program

The Australian water industry is facing a significant skills challenge requiring both recruitment and retention strategies. The water industry would encounter serious workforce loss in the medium to long term future unless there was an explicit attempt to transfer tacit knowledge and consequently retain skills and knowledge within the industry.

This Mentoring program will be an effective way to develop skills via the transfer of knowledge from a more experienced mentor and a less experienced mentee.
