The AWA's Young Water Professionals Mentoring Program for SA is up and running for 2022-23!
The program gives dedicated and enthusiastic early-career water professionals the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge, and technical expertise under the guidance of established water industry colleagues.
For mentors, it’s a chance to share your hard-earned knowledge with the next generation of water leaders and experts.
We invite you to submit an expression of interest which includes registration to join the program as a mentor or mentee.
Once registered you will be invited to join us at the Launch Event to be held in late November as we kick-off the 2022/23 YWP Mentoring Program. We’ll help you understand how to navigate a meaningful mentor/mentee relationship and get the most from the experience. Throughout the 12 month program, various development topics will be covered including goals setting, work-life balance, communicating and networking.
How can mentoring help me? Mentoring is an important influence in professional development and constitutes a rewarding bilateral relationship. While mentees gain much needed guidance, encouragement and access to invaluable experience, mentors can benefit from learning new perspectives and developing leadership and communication skills
