Careers in Water - Become a Founding Partner

How do we attract the best people to work in water, create a pipeline of talent for our members and address the shortage of skills we face now and into the future?

Careers in Water is an industry program raising awareness, attraction and retention of skills and talent to Australian water organisations. The first phase of the program was the development of the Careers in Water website which provides career resources and job vacancies along with member stories highlighting the variety of career opportunities in water, as a result of a collaboration with Water Services Association of Australia.

AWA is committed to positioning water as a ‘sector of choice’, by working closely with other industry bodies, our members and the education sector to enhance existing industry activities and deliver new initiatives through a coordinated national program. We are seeking support from organisations to become ‘Founding Partners’ to influence the program’s direction to deliver pragmatic, impactful outcomes over the next 3 years and long-term benefits for the industry and AWA members.

Future efforts as part of the Careers in Water Program will seek to define career pathways, build content on the website and attract the target audience to the site through online campaigns and outreach programs. Founding Partners will receive exclusive corporate benefits including a guaranteed role in the Careers in Water Partnership and brand recognition as a primary contributor to the careers program within the water sector and the broader community.
