IWA World Water Congress: People Management II – A vision for cultural change through diversity
Tuesday 18 September, 13.30 – 15.00, Room 8 

The workshop will present practical learnings on how to build better cultures and behaviours to support diversity in the workplace. It will also present a model to share content, successes, and challenges to assist individual leaders and participants to drive the cultural change required for success.  Presenters are Sandra Hall (UQ), Kirsty Blades (Australian Water Association), Rosie Wheen (WaterAid) & Pat McCafferty (Yarra Valley Water).

NSW Diversity Seminar: 27 September 2018
This seminar will focus on best practice inclusion for high performing teams, using practical tips and the experience of others. Drawing from deep research into the topic, our three guest speakers will dive into examples from across the industry. It’s a must-attend event for people working in diverse teams, and those wanting to be the best that they can in their professional careers.

TAS Gender Diversity is Good for Business: 15 March 2018

On Thursday 15 March, around 70 water industry professionals came together to hear a keynote address from Sally Darke, non-executive director of TasWater, TasPorts and Chairperson of the Tasmanian Community Fund and Scotch Oakburn College, who gave an insight into how diversity is managed beyond the water sector in Tasmania and some of the governance issues facing organisations today.

Around 20 ladies came together for the final WoW @The Communal in 2017. We have had a consistent attendance at these bi-monthly get-togethers which have seen lots of new connections made and old ones rekindled.
