Jo brings experience working in a diversity of contexts, partnering with industry, governments, communities and researchers to develop integrated solutions for sustainable development. As Environment Commissioner at the Productivity Commission Jo leads public inquiries, informed by public engagement. Jo has provided policy advice to Australian governments including on the Circular Economy, Future Drought Fund, National Water Reform, and the Murray Darling Basin Plan. Jo previously led interdisciplinary research teams at CSIRO and UTS Institute for Sustainable Futures, with international portfolios spanning climate change adaptation, water and sanitation, water resource management, Indigenous science, future cities and regional transitions.

With the opportunities brought about by digitalisation and AI, William is also driving the development of SMART technologies across PUB, to work towards being a Smart & AI-Enabled PUB.”

Topic: Next Generation Water Efficiency:  Where Are We Now? 

Mary Ann Dickinson is the Director of Land and Water Policy for the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, where she works on the better integration of land and water policy in the US and globally. Prior to joining the Lincoln Institute, she was the founder and President/CEO for 15 years of the Alliance for Water Efficiency, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the efficient and sustainable use of water in the United States and Canada. Headquartered in Chicago, the Alliance works with over 500 water utilities, water conservation professionals in business and industry, planners, regulators, and consumers. She has also worked extensively in the water utility world.
