The AWA Victorian Branch is pleased to host its next Technical event: Meaningful employment opportunities for refugee and immigrant jobseekers; stories, learnings and a brighter future.

Meaningful employment opportunities for refugee and immigrant jobseekers; stories, learnings and a brighter future is an event that illuminates the unique struggles and triumphs of these jobseekers. Showcasing a compilation of personal narratives, it will delve into the journeys refugees and immigrants undertake to secure meaningful employment and how these experiences shape their lives. It will explore how the water industry can help to create these meaningful opportunities and provide a work environment where employees can thrive.

The event will also bring in perspectives from other key industries. It examines the roles that various sectors play in facilitating or hindering the job seeking process for refugees, promoting discussion on how to foster a more inclusive and equitable job market. The event's key objective is to stimulate dialogue and inspire action to improve employment prospects for refugees and immigrants, turning stories and learnings into a tangible roadmap towards a brighter future.
