If your goal for 2023 is to elevate your career development, the AWA QLD Mentoring Program is the opportunity you need to kickstart you on your way to achieving your goals!

Mentoring Program Benefits

AWA's Mentoring Program gives dedicated and enthusiastic early-career water professionals the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge, and technical expertise under the guidance of established water sector colleagues.

For mentors, it’s a chance to share your hard-earned knowledge with the next generation of water leaders and continue to develop your leadership and communication skills.

The program will commence with a launch event on Wednesday 1 February 2023. Thanks to our sponsor, the International Water Centre at Griffith University, we'll help you understand how to navigate a meaningful mentor/mentee relationship and get the most from the experience. Throughout the ten month program, you will be provided with some pointers to develop your mentoring relationship and the program will conclude with a closing event in November. Of course, your mentoring relationship can continue beyond that time.

The program is available across Queensland and we invite regionally based water professionals to submit applications for mentor and mentee roles. The launch event will be streamed online making the program accessible for all.

All Mentors and Mentees will be entitled to discounted registration to the Queensland Industry Breakfast in February 2023 to provide an opportunity for Mentoring pairs to connect. Contact csargent@awa.asn.au for more information and to access the discount.
