Martin Loipersberger, Senior Hydrologist, Department of Lands, Planning and Environment, NT Government & NT Branch Committee Member

Martin is a Civil Engineer and Marine Scientist, trained in SA and has spent over a decade residing in Darwin. From regional to national engineering consultancies, 10 years at Power and Water Corporation and six years in marine aquaculture, Martin has been moving water, modelling water, cleaning water (and wastewater) for about 40 years. He’s wrapped his head around recycling wastewater in the dryest state during the Millenium Drought to modelling Gigalitre river flows in the tropics.

Catherine Vero, Principal Process Engineer, Ekistica

Catherine specialises in small and remote community water and wastewater systems, with a focus in strategic planning for remote communities, particularly those which have constrained water supplies or water quality issues.  She has also delivered, and overseen delivery and operation of, a variety of complex water treatment systems in remote Australian Indigenous communities. This work has given her an excellent grounding in the infrastructure and operational needs of delivering safe and secure water supplies in difficult to service areas. 

Catherine highly values kindness, generosity with knowledge, serving the greater community and good quality and thoughtful work and loves working on complex problems.

Simone Stewart, Manager Water Planning, Department for Environment and Water (SA) 

Simone is an experienced leader in water policy development with 20 years in the South Australian Government, skilled in the protection of environmental resources and dependent ecosystems in a manner which contributes to social and economic development. Simone has a demonstrated history of working in the water management field with a strong passion for enhancing the science policy interface within government. She has expertise in natural resource management, hydrogeological investigations, remote community water supply, First Nations engagement, water allocation plan development and community consultation to facilitate better water planning outcomes.

Jozan Collins, CEO, Ingkerreke (an Aboriginal Service provider and resource agency based in Alice Springs)
Jozan is a proud Waramungu and Yawuru woman and brings strong practical experience from rural life to her leadership. She has been with Ingkerreke for over 20 years, progressing through roles in finance, operations, and management before becoming CEO.  Jozan is deeply committed to supporting people living on Homelands in Central Australia, advocating for practical and sustainable solutions in essential areas such as water, power, housing and community services.
