National Water Reform 2026 Forums

Written by Australian Water Association | Jun 19, 2026 6:58:47 AM

AWA is hosting two member forums to gather feedback and insights for its response to the National Water Reform 2026. Join the discussion to help shape AWA's submission to the Productivity Commission and ensure the perspectives of the water sector are represented in this important national review.

The Productivity Commission is releasing two interim updates. This interim update discusses changes to policy and regulatory settings that could improve the security, resilience and sustainability of water services in Australia.

  • The first interim  update examines the delivery of safe, secure and sustainable water resources.
  • The second interim  update  reviews progress against the 2004 National Water Initiative (NWI).

AWA will be preparing responses to both interim updates, building on the recommendations outlined in our initial submission
