The Australian Water Association (AWA) has a strong history of dedicated and passionate committees and volunteers and as a valued AWA committee member you have the opportunity to shape the priorities and outcomes of your local state or territory Branch linked to the Association’s strategic plan. In accordance with the procedures of the AWA, members are invited to nominate for a position on their state or territory Branch Committee OR Young Water Professionals (YWP) Subcommittee (where applicable).

Our aim is to SHARE information and knowledge, CONNECT members with industry and stakeholders and INSPIRE positive change for all current and potential members with our program of activities and content. You can find out more about our Branches here.

Each State or Territory Branch Committee will comprise a maximum of twenty (20) professional or concession members, including the Branch President, Branch Vice President and Branch Immediate Past President.

YWP Subcommittees (where applicable) will generally consist of up to fifteen (15) (unless indicated otherwise) professional or concession members and include a YWP Subcommittee Chair and Vice Chair.

These pivotal positions carry a two (2) year tenure, commencing 1 July 2024 through to 30 June 2026. To maintain your position, continuous financial membership throughout this period is required.
