WA North West Region – Water Facility Study Tour 2019
** THE TOUR HAS SOLD OUT however places are available at the networking dinners***. Join us for a study tour of some of the north west region’s water and mining facilities. Hear from local experts on water challenges & technologies and connect with other water professionals. The tours will take place over 2 days commencing on Thursday 30 May until Friday 31 May, across multiple locations in the Karratha region; it promises to be insightful, collaborative and educational.

The Study tour is a great way to network, learn more about the experiences, successes and challenges faced by utility and mining industries based in the north-west of WA in relation to water use and management.
The study tour includes luxury coach transport from Karratha with morning tea, lunch and dinner both days, as well as the tours indicated below. 

The proposed itinerary is as follows: 

Thursday 30 May 2019
8am departure from Red Earth Arts Centre, Karratha
Tour of Water Corporation's Harding Dam and Harding Dam Ultrafiltration Water Treatment Plant
Tour of Rio Tinto’s Dampier Port Operations
Visit to Woodside’s North West Shelf Visitor Centre
4.00pm Networking dinner at the Hampton Harbour Sailing & Boat Club including a keynote address by City of Karratha Mayor, Peter Long. 
(Concludes approx 7pm)

Friday 31 May 2019
8am departure from Red Earth Arts Centre, Karratha
Murujuga National Park Ranger Rock Art Tour
Tour of Yara Pilbara Fertiliser plant 
Tour of Dampier Salt (Tour Full)
Alternate site tour to Dampier Ports Authority & Karratha Advanced Water Recycling Plant
5.30pm Churrasco Brazilian BBQ dinner at the Onyx Bar
