seminar on carbon neutrality. Join us on Thursday, 16 August 2018
as we hear from three
knowledgeable speakers about their experiences within this field.
John Day is the current lead of the Intelligent Water Network’s
(IWN) Energy Optimisation Network, as well as the Executive Manager of
Operations at North East Water. He will discuss North East Water’s progressive
journey towards carbon neutrality, as well as what’s happening within the wider
Jean-Michel Seillier works within the Water Division of
Veolia Australia. He will discuss Veolia’s international experience assisting
clients around the world, both in industry and the public sector, to meet their
energy challenges. He will share some information on projects currently at the
development stage in ANZ, and describe some initiatives that are part of their
dedicated $90 Million research and development program VERI.
Barbara Blake works within the Renewable Energy
division at DELWP. Barbara will discuss the pre-feasibility study undertaken
for the Bendigo Pumped Hydro Storage project in the mine shafts beneath the
city. She will present on the outcomes of the study and the energy
opportunities it provides for the region at the local level.
