This is the night of all nights for the young, and young at heart, to celebrate with colleagues in the water industry.

We are very excited to have Josh Tait as our speaker:

Josh began his career working as a water engineer at Alluvium Consulting after completing a double degree in civil engineering and law. Whilst working as an engineer he played an important role in delivering projects, demonstrating his skills in 12d, RORB, HECRAS and MUSIC. Josh applied these skills to projects encompassing catchment hydrology, hydraulic modelling and design, as well as, waterway engineering. Some of the projects Josh was involved in included the design of numerous surface water management strategies, the functional and detailed design of wetland-retarding basins and the development of integrated water management plans. He was also part of the team that undertook an assessment of Victoria’s water quality monitoring network.

In 2017, Josh transitioned to Natural Capital Economics (a subsidiary of the Alluvium Group). Whilst at NCE he has focused on developing business case submissions for State and federal funding programs (for major water infrastructure), as well as, the valuation of ecosystem services and a vulnerability assessment of Victoria’s economy to extreme heat.

Josh has always had a strong connection with the outdoors, which was a key driver for choosing his career path. He is an endurance athlete and loves to take some of that form onto the dance floor.
