Registrations for the breakfast will close Friday 15 March 5pm and applications for the program two weeks prior to allow enough time for pairing.
To take part in this year's mentoring program as a mentee or mentor; you must register for the breakfast and complete the AWA VIC mentoring program 2019 - online application by the deadline of 3pm, Monday 4 March. NO LATE APPLICATIONS CAN BE ACCEPTED.
Attendance at the breakfast is compulsory to take part in the 2019 mentoring program as a mentee. We hope to see many mentoring pairs at the launch, as experience has taught us that it sets the program up for a successful year! The benefits of mentoring
Mentoring has been identified as an important professional development tool and an effective way to gain skills via knowledge transfer from an experienced senior Australian Water Association member to a member at the start of their career.
The Australian Water Association mentoring program is a great opportunity for young people in the water industry to gain advice and develop new relationships and skills from industry leaders outside their current network. On the flip side, this program offers senior professionals the chance to further develop their coaching skills and inspire young water professionals to advance their career within the water industry.

Director Global Talent and Organisational Development at Stantec
Lisa has over 30 years’ experience in accounting and organisational development, obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Management in Victoria, Australia.
She spent over 20 years working in the Australian Tertiary Education Sector, working at one of the big eight Universities as the Finance Manager of all non-academic services. Post this, Lisa joined MWH, where she worked with the Australian business, improving their business systems and processes and then coordinated delivery of strategy, leadership and cultural change programs for the business. Lisa then took up the Learning & Talent Development portfolios for the Asia Pacific region where she managed MWHU programs, Asia Pacific workshops, internal and external training, professional development, graduate development, succession planning, and HiPo talent pools.
Lisa has recently taken on the role of Director of Global Talent & Organisational Development with Stantec, where she is leading the Talent Management and Organisational Development portfolios for the company.

How does the AWA mentoring program work?
The Association pairs mentors and mentees from the information provided in the AWA VIC mentoring program 2019 - online application
The more detail participants include in their applications, the more accurate the match!
Mentors & mentees will be introduced at the launch breakfast. During the breakfast, each mentoring pair will agree on how often and where to meet and we will provide information to help spark discussion points. The program runs for one year but your relationship doesn’t have to end there, some mentoring partnerships last a lifetime!
If you are not able to take part in the program but keen to find out more, we would welcome you to our breakfast to ask any questions you may have or simply to observe.
No training is required for our mentors. You just need to be an experienced water professional willing to provide guidance and leadership to an assigned mentee. We will provide the introductory session, any materials you need and contact details of an experienced mentor should you need to seek advice.
