Register by October 22 to join the Young Water Professionals and Engineers Australia for a 'best of' screening of TED Talks on Effective Teams.
Don't miss this relaxed end-of-year screening of the best TED talks on effective teams.
This year's theme is “Effective Teams”. It can make or break a project, so what makes a team great? Are traditional workplace structures outdated? What can we do better?
To help answer what makes teams tick, we’ll be discussing the following topics:
‘Why it’s time to forget the pecking order at work’, by Margaret Heffernan, a former CEO, management thinker and author.
‘How to turn a group of strangers into a team’, by Amy Edmondson, the Novartis Professor of Leadership and Management at Harvard Business School.
‘How diversity makes teams more innovative’, by Rocío Lorenzo, Partner and Managing Director at The Boston Consulting Group.
After each TED Talk is screened, we invite the audience to join in on an informal discussion facilitated by Sarah Hughes, WSP Team Manager, Water, as well as networking after the event.
A selection of food platters will be served, and drinks will be available to purchase from the bar. All are welcome!
Date: Wednesday 24 October - registration closes Monday 22 October 8.00pm
Place: Hotel Richmond, 128 Rundle Mall, Adelaide CBD.
