SA CARBON NEUTRAL ADELAIDE WORKSHOP - COLLABORATING TOWARDS SUCCESS
Register now for the follow up to our successful ‘Carbon Neutral Cocktails’ in December 2017.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Held on April 11 in the SA Water Learning Centre, this facilitated workshop event is a chance to focus on carbon neutral success stories – and to develop a clear understanding of how collaboration can drive carbon neutrality in our own organisations.
Presented by the SA Young Water Professionals, all ages and career stages with an interest in achieving carbon neutrality are very welcome.
The South Australian Government and City of Adelaide have committed to developing Adelaide into one of the world’s first carbon neutral cities through the implementation of the Carbon Neutral Adelaide Action Plan. There are currently over 140 founding partners working towards this common goal, reducing their carbon footprint for a sustainable future. There are numerous environmental and economic benefits associated with the reduction of a business’ carbon footprint; however, implementation of reduction measures can be challenging.
ABOUT CARBON NEUTRALITY
Help to make Adelaide the world’s first carbon neutral city:
*Make your home or building more energy efficient
*Choose low emissions transport
*Use renewable energy
*Reduce waste and water use
*Offset your carbon emissions
With several organisations already leading the way across some of these categories, it is essential that we provide a space to collaborate and learn from their successes (and failures). This workshop is a facilitated forum for sharing ideas and experiences between organisations, and for discussing barriers and opportunities as we move towards achieving our carbon neutral aspirations.
