These events are open to anyone with an interest in the water industry and present an opportunity to meet and catch up with other professionals.

Guest Speaker - YANG VILLA
Yang Villa is the Head of the Philippines for Isle Utilities where he leads innovation projects in developing Southeast Asian countries.
Prior to joining Isle, Yang has had 10 years of experience developing water and wastewater infrastructure businesses in the Philippines and Vietnam.
He also led the establishment of the nationwide Collaborative Innovation Program which launched initiatives such as the Water Technology Summit, the Confluence innovation leadership forum, and several technology trials.
Yang is an active contributor to the International Water Association (IWA) where he has delivered various speeches and workshops in Argentina, South Africa and Japan. He was also appointed as the youngest Conference President of the IWA Efficient Urban Water Management conference series in 2019.
Yang is on a mission to develop as many youth leaders as can be crammed in one lifetime: as such, he co-founded the Philippine Young Water Professionals (PYWP) in 2016, and he serves as a lecturer-mentor for youth leadership programs such as the Academy for Political Management and the Angat Buhay ("uplift lives") Young Leaders in Government Fellowship of the Office of the Vice-President of the Philippines.
For his work in advocating for and mainstreaming water issues in the country, he has received wide recognition including the 30-Under-30 Young Environmental Champions by the ministry for environment in 2018 as well as the SDG-6 Youth Champion for Luzon mega-region by The 2030 Project in 2019. Yang graduated with a degree in economics from the University of the Philippines in 2009 and has trained in WASH & development at the International WaterCentre, disruptive innovation at Harvard Business School Online, and environmental leadership at the University of California, Berkeley.
He does volunteer work for the Wild Bird Club of the Philippines and the Philippine Parks & Biodiversity to incorporate a distinct water lens into other environmental themes. When not nerding over water, Yang plays music, sings Broadway songs, and travels for birdwatching.
