The 2017 YWP Panel Discussion will feature four well regarded industry professionals who have valuable experience to share and have a passion for assisting young water professionals to grow to be leaders of the future

About our panelists:
Tony has considerable Australian and International water engineering expertise in the areas of numerical flood and water quality modelling, field data collection and assessment, non-point source pollution assessment and mitigation, water quality management, catchment land-use considerations and sewerage and water supply investigations. His expertise has been gained through working with the Queensland Department of Local Government/Water Quality Council for a number of years, further University studies, twenty seven years further experience with BMT WBM and a one year work period in the UK.
Steve Gibson is Program Director Wastewater Network, Infrastructure Delivery at Queensland Urban Utilities. Steve has over twenty years’ experience in the water utilities sector and delivers project certainty by combining extensive project management knowledge and hands on delivery experience with exceptional risk management foresight.
Sonia McDonald, CEO & Founder of LeadershipHQ; is an Entrepreneur, Thought Leader, Dynamic Keynote Speaker, Leadership Coach and Author. Sonia McDonald was recently named in the Top 250 Influential Women across the Globe. She is Australia’s Leading Leadership Executive Coach. She has over 25 years’ human resource management, leadership and organisational development experience. She has held senior leadership roles in organisational development, learning and development, human resources and talent management fields across the Globe.
Gavin has an honours degree in engineering and an MBA in Technology Management. He has a wealth of experience in local government and private enterprise and has previously held roles from asset management to geotechnical engineering to business marketing and industrial relations. Gavin is the Chair of the Board of Directors for Engineers Without Borders. Gavin has been involved in Toastmasters International for 35 years, including the role of International President, an organisation representing 200,000 members in 100 countries.
