NextGen Water: Investing in our water future
It is now ten years since the Millennium Drought, and Seqwater's last major investments in water infrastructure. Over those ten years, Seqwater has focused on getting the most out of their existing assets, with an emphasis on water quality and cost efficiency.
Seqwater is now planning a series of projects that may shape our water supply for generations, and contribute to broader community wellbeing. In this talk, Dan Spiller will provide an overview of some of those projects. The projects he will talk about include improving community water literacy, recycled water operations, Sunshine Coast supply improvements, stormwater harvesting, Mt Crosby precinct planning, the Somerset Dam upgrade, catchment investment and partnerships and connecting Wyaralong and Beaudesert to the Water Grid.
Dan Spiller, Acting Chief Executive Officer
Dan has extensive experience in infrastructure planning, delivering complex projects, as well as a strong understanding of the region’s integrated assets. He was previously Seqwater’s Manager, Water Supply and System Planning. Prior to this, Dan was Director of Operations, SEQ Water Grid Manager following his role as Acting Chief Executive of the Queensland Water Commission.
