QLD YWP Amazing Race - 2020

QLD YWP Amazing Race - 2020
Did someone say mash up? This year, the AWA QLD YWP sub-committee brings its members an Amazing Race to remember – to end a year of challenge and change with cheer and spirit. The theme of the 2020 Amazing Race is ‘Christmas Party’.

We invite you along to this unique networking event – from a renewed Amazing Race scavenger hunt to online trivia to Christmas celebrations.

AWA QLD YWP Amazing Race 2020 – Christmas Party

This is a Brisbane City Amazing Race in the form of a scavenger hunt with teams starting in one of four allocated quadrants on a map that will be supplied before race commencement. There will be a pre-recorded opening ceremony to be viewed by all teams as contestants gear up for the race to acquire the most points. We challenge you to utilise the brains trust and physical skill of your team to maximise route and point accumulation strategy. There will be an AWA volunteer onsite at each start point to also discuss the rules of event and present the AWA COVIDSafe briefing.

It is important that AWA COVIDSafe Policy is adhered to at all times during the course of the event.

Teams

Teams are maximum 3 to adhere to social distancing requirements. For best success, we suggest teams look at diversifying – i.e. an ideal team would have a mix of tech and math whizzes, creative thinkers or trivia masters, and athletic champions or cheerleaders.

Prizes

There will be a Winner for the team who accumulates the highest number of points at the end of the Race.

This year, we encourage teams to not only dress up as creatively as they can, but come forth with their best designed face mask.
The best-dressed prize this year is for the team with the most ‘festive face mask’.

Prizes will be announced during the networking event.
