The AWA Victorian Branch delivers topical professional development and technical seminars specifically developed for the Victorian water industry and related disciplines. Our events are designed to provide opportunities for connection, information sharing, networking, collaboration and fellowship both in formal and relaxed environments.
The AWA Victorian Branch convened a workshop on 1 October 2014, to provide input to the Office of Living Victoria (OLV) about its draft Metropolitan Whole-of-Water-Cycle Strategic Framework discussion paper.
Scott Hamilton from the OLV explained that the Whole-of-Water-Cycle Strategic Framework discussion paper which sets out a process intended to deliver Melbourne’s Water Future policy. The Strategic Framework would establish a planning hierarchy, including regional plans, subregional plans and local plans, where local government would play a leading role. An interactive session followed where the attendees considered issues such as infrastructure requirements, policy issues and governance, respectively. Read the submission.

Thursday, 11 August 2011 – Palladium at Crown
The 49th Victorian Branch Annual Dinner was met with an enthusiastic reception from over 770 guests on 11 August 2011. Held at Palladium at Crown on Southbank, the event was discribed by AWA National President, Lucia Cade, as the "highlight of the event calendar". The evening included appearances by longstanding partner Thiess Services' General Manager, Peter King, and Branch President Peta Maddy. The AWA also welcomed Chloe Munro, Chair National Water Commission, as the special guest speaker.
