Visit Australia

Are you interested in how the Australian water sector is managed and the opportunities for partnerships here?

Australia’s vast expertise of drought and flood conditions has placed the Australian water industry in a unique position to offer expertise and capabilities in water resource management – and want to share this with the world.

The Australian Water Association welcomes foreign delegations and visitors who have an interest or stake in water and connects them with our water experts, arranges visits to water sites, facilitates education and training - providing the opportunity to see firsthand how water reform in Australia is meeting new global challenges.

The Association can tailor tours that in include visiting just one Australian city or a number of cities and water sites depending on areas of interests and time.

The Association can design a programme that suits your needs, and can arrange formal presentations by water experts, meetings with government officials, academics, consultants and scientists - all with world’s best practise experience.

Tours may include visits to the world famous Bondi or Manly beach to see exciting measures in place to recycle storm water and protect the beaches; water storage and waste treatment plants on the famous Gold Coast; or viewing environmental water parks in Melbourne. In addition to water site visits, there will be opportunities to meet our Kolas and Kangaroos, taste some great seafood, enjoy an Australian BBQ and meet the vast array of communities in Australia with their origins from all over the world.

Bearing in mind Australia is a very large country, tours are most beneficial if the time allowed is at least one week and more than one city is visited. Please make contact with us well in advance of your intended travel dates to allow sufficient time to plan a suitable program.

Visitors from all countries are welcome and we are sure you will not only find Australia one of the world’s leaders in water technology, but also an enjoyable place to visit.
