Sarah Hesse
Sarah HesseSarah has been a member of the Australian Water Association since 2008.

Sarah’s career in the natural resource space began in bushland management, before a ten-year drought, and its impact on our natural resources, made the effective management of water resources a personal and professional area of influence in her thinking, research and education. Sarah has delivered water resource management projects with an investigative and solution oriented focus for clients in the Oil and Gas, Mining, Government, Defence, and Ports sectors with a focus in the Asia Pacific region.

As Manager of the Water and Environment Business at Cardno (NSW/ACT) Sarah leads a team of specialist coastal, flood, and environmental engineers, ecologists, environmental planners and scientists.

Prior to joining Cardno, Sarah had a role in the planning and response for engineering emergencies in NSW. During this time Sarah worked on-call in multi-agency teams under the Australian Inter-service Incident Management System (AIIMS) to respond to floods, fires, and other natural disasters, providing advice on engineering solutions to structural issues.

Sarah is looking forward to bringing her diverse experience into the mix in contributing to this specialist network.
